It is not possible for you to sit here, in the flesh, and comprehend the Word of God in the way that God intended for you to receive it. He planned for you to receive it through the ministry of His Holy Spirit, whose job is to help you metabolize this information and convert it into wisdom for your soul that you can use. This cannot happen if you are seated here, as a Christian, with known sins in your life.
